20 Hottest SaaS Startups: The Nordics

We weren’t joking when we kickstarted a Nordic invasion of Brooklyn… read below to find out why!

The Nordic region is home to some of our favorite tech companies, including Spotfiy, Zendesk, and Skype. With a handful of incubator and accelerator programs, not to mention dozens of venture capital opportunities, it’s no surprise that the Nordics are the second location for our Top Lists.

We have a bit of a bias towards our Nordic countries  (let’s not forget that’s where Lemonsqueeze’s founder is from). With our love for the Nordics, came a love for SaaS startups. They’re our favorite kind of startup, and the Nordics’s favorite too, with the majority of their startup scene being SaaS focused.

Solving HR, freelance and branding all in one. Universal Avenue: there’s nothing quite like it.

Universal Avenue is a global solution for freelance recruitment. The platform locates applicants and after training them, matches them with like-minded brands. Universal Avenue hires these applicants themselves, as “Brand Ambassadors”, allowing their employees to work with brands, but for Universal Avenue.

Both Mark and Neon’s CTO Øyvind Fanebust come from the insurance industry, where they noticed a need for simplified customer communication.
